College Colorado

College Position FB

NFL Position FB

Height 6-1

Weight 229

Positives-Brandon is the top-blocking fullback in the draft.  He picks up the right guy to block, and he has lead the way for one of the top rushing offenses in the game. He has been described as one of the hardest workers on the Colorado team, which is always a plus. He had an 11.6 rushing average this year, but does not have great speed.

Negatives-His main concern is his lack of athletic ability. He is very stiff, and is not very fast.

1-11-03 Strength: Blocking Speed off the snap
Weakness: Leg strength Fumbling
Assessment: Drumm could be the first fullback selected in the draft and he will probably go early during day two. Drumm is the best blocking fullback of the bunch but he still needs to add more muscle before making the transition to the NFL. Shows good leverage and runs very low to the ground, reminiscent of Heath Evans, a prospect a few years ago now playing with the Seattle Seahawks. Drumm doesn't have amazing speed but he gets off the line of scrimmage extremely fast and knows how to use his hands. Drumm needs to ensure he builds up his leg strength and he needs to work on carrying the football. Although he didnt fumble a lot in college he doesn;t protect the ball consistently and could be prone to fumbling problems if he does not improve his technique. Should go in round 4 or 5.

Overall-Drumm will make a very good blocking fullback in the NFL. He may not be much of a running threat due to a lack of speed. I see him as an NFL starter.
