Name Wilson Thomas

College Nebraska

College Position WR

NFL Position WR

Height 6-5

Weight 215

Positives-Wilson has excellent size at 6 foot 5 and 215 pounds. His size allows him to go up and get the ball in traffic. Thomas also has solid speed for his size. He can get off of press coverage, and has good strength. In addition he is willing blocker, and has done a lot of run blocking at Nebraska.  He is also a solid athlete evident by the fact he played basketball in 2000 while at Nebraska.

Negatives-Nebraska does not throw the ball much so Thomas is still raw as a receiver. He will allow the body to get his body, and is not a big play threat.

What others are saying- Draft Addicts

Bottom Line: Due to Nebraska being a running team, there are many question marks surrounding Wilson, but he is a big athletic receiver. He has all the tools to be a very productive receiver in the pros. He needs to be more consistent and have a big time showing in senior all-star games. Look for Wilson to go in rounds 6 or 7. If he goes undrafted he should be able to sign with a team as an undrafted free agent, due to his potential. He has a fairly nice chance of making a team as a fourth or fifth receiver but it is unlikely that he will help much on special teams, which will hurt him. He should be able to at least make some team's practice squad.

Overall-Thomas is my sleeper at the wide receiver position. He has very good size, and he also has a lot of room to improve. He will not make a big impact as a rookie, but if given time he should be a solid NFL player.
